Roland-Garros: Tickets, Access & Travel Guide

Roland-Garros is our recommendation for travellers who enjoy clay-court tennis and want Paris to be a substantial part of the trip. Long rallies and the chance to explore smaller courts make an early-round visit particularly appealing.

Roland-Garros is our recommendation for travellers who enjoy clay-court tennis and want Paris to be a substantial part of the trip. Long rallies and the chance to explore smaller courts make an early-round visit particularly appealing. Buy the court and session you want rather than simply the most prestigious date.

Dates, venue and edition status

Official organiser lists 17 May–6 June 2027 as the event window. Confirm qualifying, main-draw and individual sessions separately; individual ticket sales were not yet open at the 6 October 2026 review. Stade Roland-Garros is the venue reference. Check the current programme and session-specific ticket conditions separately.

How to choose tickets and hospitality

A Philippe-Chatrier day or night session is a different purchase from Suzanne-Lenglen, Simonne-Mathieu or an outside-court product. Check precisely which courts and times each ticket permits. Our preference is one defined show-court session plus time for permitted outer-court play, rather than packing every visit around an assumed star appearance.

A named player may withdraw, lose earlier than expected or be assigned to another court. Buy the session and seat you are comfortable with rather than relying on an assumed match. Ask about postponements, weather policies and what happens if play moves to another court.

Where to stay and getting around

The 16th arrondissement and Boulogne-Billancourt suit a venue-oriented stay; a central Paris hotel suits a wider city break with an extra journey. The venue sits on the western side of Paris. Compare the correct entrance and final walk before choosing the hotel, and keep late-night return transport in view for evening sessions.

Compare room cancellation terms, minimum stays and the actual journey to your first and last bookings. If your accommodation and event purchase come from different suppliers, check both policies independently. A convenient base usually matters more than squeezing the maximum number of bookings into each day.

Build a realistic itinerary

Give Paris a separate day before or after the tennis. Start each tournament visit with the daily schedule and check your product’s entry time. Do not book a tightly timed second activity after a match: clay-court contests can be long and a night-session ticket is not an early-finish promise.

What to confirm before you pay

Request the exact product, booked date or session, seat or reservation requirements, total price and currency, taxes, delivery method, cancellation terms and transfer restrictions. For hospitality, clarify whether dining, drinks, transport and the event ticket are included or quoted separately. Only written inclusions should inform the purchase.

Planning with Velloy

Contact Velloy with your preferred edition, number of guests, access priorities and hotel requirements. The team can explain which services and proposals are available; an enquiry is not a confirmed ticket or reservation. Explore membership separately for broader travel planning, and ask which rates, fees and benefits apply to your trip.

Frequently asked questions

Are individual Roland-Garros 2027 tickets already on sale?

The official organiser warning said they were not yet on sale at the 6 October 2026 review. Follow the official ticket portal and release announcements rather than assume an advance seller has verified inventory.

Can I guarantee seeing a particular player?

A session ticket normally guarantees the ticketed access, not an individual player. The draw, results, scheduling and withdrawals can all affect appearances.

When should I book accommodation?

Once the relevant edition and access plan are clear, compare suitable hotels. If booking before ticket confirmation, use terms that protect you against a changed itinerary and avoid assuming the organiser will reimburse unrelated travel.

The planning detail we would not overlook

The official site warns that individual 2027 tickets are not yet on sale as of this review. Follow the organiser’s ticket portal and release announcements, not a search advert claiming unrestricted advance inventory. The published 17 May–6 June window is the broader event window; verify the main draw, qualifying and your chosen session separately.
